Winter's activities and leisure
With the Guest Card given to you by the owner of your rented accomodation, you can benefit from certain reductions explained below:
The following activities are available:
- ALPINE SKI-ING : Chamonix Ski School ( Ecole de Ski de Chamonix ) & Argentière Ski School (Ecole de Ski d’Argentière)
- CROSS COUNTRY SKI-ING : (SKI DE FOND) Map of cross country ski trails (Plan des pistes de ski de fond )
All cross country ski trail access has to be paid for and is controlled : the tickets and passes are sold at the cross country ski-ing office in Chamonix ( Foyer de Ski de Fond de Chamonix) and the Tourist Offices in Argentière (Argentière) & Vallorcine.
The day pass includes free access to the swimming pool and ice rink in Chamonix during the day marked on the ticket.
There is a reduction with the guest card: (Carte d'Hôte ) Adult day ticket : 6,70 € instead of 8,50 € . Youth day ticket : 3,70 € instead of 5,50 €

- Restaurants in altitude which are open to non-skiers.
- Merlet Animal Park : (Parc animalier de Merlet) - hikes and Snow-Shoeing - 21 hectares, 80 mountain animals in their natural habitat, no fences. Chamois, Ibex, sheep, Roes, deers, sika deer, no marmots, they are asleep…
In small groups from 4 to a maximum of 16 people, with snow shoes, you can take this gentle 4km picturesque walk (about 2 hrs long). You will be accompagnied by a middle mountain guide and a park ranger. - Huskydalen - Walk with Husky dogs.
- Ski joëring - Pulled along on your skis by horses, enjoy a differnet type of ski-ing, off the slopes and enviromentally friendly.
- Parapente - Paragliding : take flight!
- Luge des Planards - Sledging at the Planards lift on the Alpine Coaster.
- Centre sportif Richard Bozon : Chamonix Sports Centre :
- Ice Rink
- Weight training, gym classes, climbing wall, tennis courts, squash courts.
- Inside swimming pool : 25 m pool, play pool with waterfall, fast flowing river, massage jets, lounging area, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, water gym and special gym for young children and babies.
There is a reduction with the Guest Card (Carte d'Hôte) - swimming pool and ice rink (not on rental of the material), 20% reduction on the entrance price for adults and children.
- Train du Montenvers – Montenvers Train : that takes you to the Mer de Glace ( Sea of Ice). Where you can visit the Ice cave inside the Glacier, Crystql exhibition, Flora & Fauna museum and the Montenvers Hotel built in 1880. Timetable (Horaires)
- Chamonix Mont-Blanc Helicoptères - Scenic flights in a helicopter over the Mont Blanc mountain range.
