At the entrance to Montroc, 1.6 km beyond Argentière, the chalet is part of a group of 18 adjoining chalets (divided into 4 buildings), called the "Clos du Chaleyre", surrounded by a large meadow where children can play in summer or build igloos the winter.

It is an area with no avalanche risks.

Public transports (bus & train) are free in the valley between Servoz and Vallorcine.

The owner is a member of the Chamonix Tourist Office.
